BMXking's Truck

attachment.php

BMX, I did something kinda like this for mine, but I used one with a clip that swings back over like a d-ring. Hard to describe  my problem is my jack is on the front bumper, and the last time I usedit I left the foot on the bumper and it fell off the truck on the freeway.

Thanks, I'm helping my buddy build one for his Cherokee tomorrow after work.

Ok, I got some Husky Liners for the front. My diamond 6 pc lights are coming in Monday. The SAS has begun!!!!! And I've got a 5.0 lined up for the truck...my buddy has a 46k original miles 88 Stang GT motor with computer, full harness, complete motor for 300 bucks. I'll probably buy that, but I'm also looking at getting an older (around 93) Stang to start building so I have a new DD that will haul some ass.... :D

Been a while since I updated this. Things have changed just a little bit since the past pictures...

It now has 37" Creepy Crawler, full width high pinion dana 44 SAS, full width Ford 9" rear, 4.88s, disc brakes front and rear, etc. The details/price list of everything are updated in my first post.

Here is the SAS thread also: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135596

sweeet

looks great

Thanks guys. :)

I just finished installing a brand new flywheel, clutch, clutch master cylinder, and pilot bearing. I also went ahead and painted my entire exhaust system with 1200* Duplicolor heat paint (flat black color)...looks much better than burned on mud. :D I'll probably be getting a set of Hedman headers pretty soon.

Back when I was on 31s, I had a Reese hitch that hung down way under the bumper. It was tough, but I would drag it all the time when I would go through a couple of ditches at a local trail I went to. I took it off so I wouldn't drag anymore....

Well, now I've obviously got a little more clearance than before (about 1 foot more  ) I finally went ahead and got a Draw-tite tube hitch that's much more hidden than the Reese. (Now that I've got 4.88s, I'll be able to tow my dirt bikes around a lot better than 31s & 3.27s) Oh yeah, and I've got a 8" drop ball mount and it's still not enough. :D I'll post some pics later.

badass man, way cool

1993 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4 - 125k miles, 5 spd. trans, loaded (except for leather seats) $2000

did you really give only $2k for it ?

Yeah. My parents said they'd give me 2k for my first car....and to think I was about to drop 3.5k of my own money (on top of their 2k) for a Chevy S10 Xtreme. Stock for stock, I'd take the Xtreme any day. When I found the Xtreme, I told my parents the only way I'd get the Explorer over the s-dime is if I could lift it. And then everyone lived happily ever after. :p

im sure this isnt what they had in mind :D

Mine said something along those lines as well, they just didnt know how much it was going to cost in the long run.

Yeah, but when you consider I've spent less than 8k total on a 93 Explorer that now has SAS, 37s, new clutch, locker, discs all around, etc etc etc that's a ton cheaper than getting a few year old Jeep (an ~03 around here (stock in great condition) goes for about 14k still) I'd take an $8k Explorer over a $20k lifted Heep on 35s anyday.

Got new F150 tie-rods and the truck is really tight now. Prolly more responsive steering now than when it was stock. Oh yeah, ended up getting an 11" drop ball mount and it's still an 1in. higher than the "best height" (18inches from ground to top of ball) :D

Since the last update I've done a few more things to the truck. All new steering w/ alignment, Superlift adjustable track bar w/ new bushings, new seals/bearings/etc on the rear axle shafts, and I just won a set of Q-Form kick panels for the Explorer. They are currently cut for 5.25" speakers, but I'll be adding in a tweeter with them as well. I'll be painting them when they arrive (I've got a grey interior). http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...=018&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT#ebayphotohosting

I plan to run these speakers in them: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-v49Nz88S5Kb/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=51800&I=2065KS52

Just placed my order for a Pyle 7" flip out in-dash DVD player. I also got a back-up camera that we're wiring up. I bought all this today because I found out this morning if I order today, I get 50% off (friends are starting a shop that I'm gonna be working at, so they got a huge discount on the order). Next week they'll be set up w/ Kicker, etc, so they'll be placing the order on all of that stuff. When they do that, I'm gonna have them order my Kicker components.

oooooooohh bad a$$....kicker.... umm huh

I cant believe you got those q-logic kick panels for that cheap. I was watching that item also but I forgot when it ended haha

youre so lame bryan  :p , i ask you to drive like 5 miles to my house to help me work on my car, and you whine about you HAVE to have gas money or you cant get to work the next day, then you go throwing around like $300+ to put a dvd player and camera and panels in your car, not to mention youve avoided regearing for like 2 months cause u dont have money, then you do this??? give me some money :D
