How much got done this weekend?

On Friday, I did come to the conclusion that the only way to remove the transmission from the vehicle is to remove the tailshaft housing - which isnt that big of a deal but I will make some sort of protection for the tailshaft.

But the rest of the weekend was spent with my cousins - hiking, sushi, smoothies, and so on..

JTX yelled at me over the phone and made me feel bad so I did some fab.

Made half of the transmission mount and then cut out the base plate for the protective tailshaft housing thingy for trans install/removal.

Finished up the transmission mount. The notch in the back is for the bottom transfer case bolt.

those are some monster bolts, haha... are you doing a divorced tcase or something? I don't understand what the tailshaft protector is for.

Hehe, they are 9/16" - only because the bushings I get from GravityWerx uses that size.

The t-case isnt divorced - the only purpose of the tailshaft protector is protect the tailshaft and rear transmission gears during future removal / installation of the trans (cauz the stock aluminum tailshaft housing is too bulky and must be removed beforehand).
