well i tried to PM u but your box is full soo...

what angle did you mount your steering box at? does the 1st gen shaft and lines just hook right up? i read about the way you setup your brake lines soft to hard to soft again, but where and what lines do you have to order? thanks a lot your help will be much appreciated and help me move fast.

No Power...No Progress!

Well with a high of about 116* today at my dad's house we lost power for most of he day. Dam people can't turn there A/C down, can't they see I'm tryin to build a rig here We will get a early start tomorrow


21robbie21~ I have'nt done the B-lines yet. Still wotrking on that. Haveing trouble finding generic rubber lines in lengths, not to mention 36" of length. I'll probally do the brake lines next weekend

As far as the box..yes the first gen lines bolt right up. I used the 1st gen shaft. I just had to add 3 washers to take up room on the 2nd gen stering coming down from the wall.

It's been 100 degrees here in Pinole, and I have NO A/C. Just fans to move air around.

Back On Trac!

Well today we started early and we're on a mission! Get 'R Done!

This was are trac bar mount that we made, and with a little welding...

On it went, ugly welds? yes, but this ain't no beauty pageant!

And then on all it went...

Before we knew it...something happend!








...and now, the moment you have all been waiting for....

I give you... The Monster!!

She is still got a lot of work to be done, Shock, brakes, D-shaft, and my new Manual T-case that "the Section man" will deliver in another week. Everthing lined up very well first time! we just need to adjust the passenger spring bucket back a inch or so.

So her final Wheelbase is 115" front axle moved up 4"
Total height is 6' 6" with no roof rack on it.

She should be completly done in another month or so. This is a really busy time for me at work...soo...

Looks great Man! I am a little leary of your Tracbar welds though. There is a butt load of stress on that mount. You would hate for it to let go. Maybe a local shop would burn it on better for you for cheap?

I'm not to worried about them, they may look ugly, but they are solid. The mount is also sandwiched in between 1/4" plating added to the frame, then the mount is made from 1/4" reciver stock, and then the spring bucket with another 1/4" plate welded to it, making it almost 1/2 inch goes over the mount. It's pretty solid. I'm more worried that the frame will rip somewhere.
