Truck Haven

Alrighty! Finally got most everything straightened out (or soon to be.. new front & rear bumpers!)

Truckhaven was just a blast. For a while, I was thinking me and JuanF was having a contest (let's see, he got stuck twice, me once.. hmm.. if your not stuck, your not 4wheeling!)

Oh, the tire with the slow leak I had was caused by the tire bead breaking loose, and getting dirt in it. Tire shop fixed it nothing flat.

I'm still kinda pumped. If you got pictures with a white mazda navajo in it, I'd _LOVE_ to get a copy or scan of it. (esp.. of it doing things that a "stocker" "can't do".)

Later!

This was my first run and believe me it was GREAT. I go 4 wheeling with my brother Jose and some buddies in my backyard. But by far this was one of the best I've been to. Let's try to make this an annual event. Thanks to Rick, Paul, the guys/gals from Ford, Trailmaster, and everyone else. Thanks to Darien for that alignment help, my truck is running sweet. Juan I hope your knee feels better, we got you on tape I'll send you a copy. Rick, we have 6 rolls of pictures, i'll be sending you some of our better ones. Once again thank's to everyone who was out there, see you on the next run.

Rick and Paul,
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dead Link Removed That was the best four wheeling trip that I have ever been on. That was the most fun that I have had that I can remember. My only complaint is that I couldn't stay for sunday. Thanks agian to the folks at ford for the awesome dinner. The whole event was really well done. I have not stopped talking about it since I have got home. Thanks to paul for doing a great job on leading and for the sheetmetal sacrifice on the pre run. Can't wait till next year.

Hello all.... I just thought I'd drop everone a quick note to say how much WE all enjoyed the Truck Haven event.... I've received numerous e-mails from the other Ford partipants.... everyone was happy to have been there, learned a bunch, and looking forward to the next event...

Thanks again for letting us into your vehicles for this entire weekend. We really appreciated the opportunity to "talk shop" with you.

Rick, it was great to have Ford along for the trip! I beleive that once again the learning experience was mutual. Thanks for the wonderful dinner and the Explorer Sport Trac jackets, everyone really enjoyed that.

See you next time.

Hi everyone... Deb and I just got registered here, with the board. Just wanted to say that TRUCK HAVEN was definately a great run, and we look forward to more "Serious Explorations" events. Getting ready for MOAB! Checked out the new BFG KO series tires today, and there's probably a set in our near future. It was really great to meet everyone, and many thanks to Rick, Paul and the gang from Dearborn! Special thanks to Paul for alerting us to this super event.
See you on the trail!

The trip report for the Truckhaven 2000 run is now online. Check it out at http://www.explorer4x4.com/thaven_report.html

If you were on the run and want me to make some additions, just write something up and send it to me. I couldn't be everywhere and I'm sure I missed some good moments.

Thanks,

Rick

Guys - for those who asked, I was informed that PIAA doesn't really stand for anything, but if you wanted it to, you could use "Perfect in all aspects" Dead Link Removed. Also for those of you that were interested in the lights but I didn't have any catalogs, please e-mail and I'll make sure you get one. My email address is mattadams@pcisys.com , sorry I forgot to bring them with!

Rick,
Just wondering if there's any news as to the destroyed Fourwheeler photos, and getting them any decent replacements? Have you spoken with them again?
