holy crap! I better caravan with someone cuz I aint gonna make it otherwise. call me slow or lazy, but as thunderhorse said, when is this run? this weekend?

additionally, i dont' have a tent, so if i couldn't get ahold of one, anybody wanna cuddle with me? i promise i wont :fart: .

I am still planning to go but won't know if I have to travel for work that Sunday until a few days prior. Damn work always messin' with my fun plans.

I believe the trip is still planned for April 17-18, as this weekend is Easter.

Nice pics Ken, which direction did you run John Bull? How were the water fording spots on Holcomb Creek?

Sorry guy's, I'll have to pass on this one. It's been a long-long recovery and I can't take any chances yet. Snow, water and rocks are stacking the deck against me if I go. I'm not out, just on the sidelines.

I rand John Bull from East to West. I didn't have a chance to run Holcomb Creek on Sunday since I had to get back home and it was already getting late. Our group will be on Channel 4. In case we cause traffic and/or delays, just let us know you're coming, and we'll move off the trail to let you guys pass. We'll see ya'll up on the Mtn!

As my schedule stands now, I should be heading up there Sat afternoon, meet up with you guys, then wheel with you Sunday. I'll have to head back down Sun night.

Can't wait!!

Sorry, but there will not be a  & show this time :nono:

LMAO!

It's a no go for me on the Big Bear run next weekend, I have to help my sister move so i'll catch you guys at the next one.

Well that sucks.

I should be out there by mid-morning Friday so I will pick a spot for all of us to camp. If not in area #1 (up the grade on 3N14) then in between spot #1 and spot #2 (3N97 off 3N16), probably off 3N16. I will make sure my trailer or truck, or both are visible from the main trail, and I will leave the light on for you all. I will also make up a sign that says "Kennedy" with an arrow where I go off the main trail. So if you drive up 3N14 from Fawnskin, start looking when you start up the grade past the Holcolmb Creek Trail. When you get to 3N16 without spotting me, hang a left or westerly direction and keep looking as far as 3N97 (its on the left or south). If you still don't see me, go down 3N97.

Well this is going to be interesting...I've heard that it may rain friday night and saturday morning. Also It will be cold saturday night. 28*-29* and with a cold front passing through right after this possable storm I don't dout the chilliness. I'm planing on coming up Saturday morning, however if everything works out I may have to pick up some 33's in Runing Springs :bounce:

we shall see...truck is running again.
Need to get down to Bills this week to fix his U joint, we will discuss options then.
I may be able to make it up Sat morn, but like I said we will see.
I only have 60 miles on my new trans so far...so its kinda pushing it to go wheeling this weekend although so far, all is well!

That is kind of cold, but we can hack it. The rain should make wheelin more interesting.

Wife and kid backed out, Sarah stood me up for a horse lesson on Saturday and some kid's birthday party on Sunday. I will be leaving from work on Friday as soon as I get off at 6am. I figure I will be up in BB by 9 or 10. Set up camp, a little nap, and ready to rock.

Who is coming up Friday and can I get an ETA??

Well like I said Brian I'm comeing up Saturday mornig, But I'm thinkin of justa one day run now? I've really sick the last few days and I'm still not all together. I think me stayin out at night in those temps and withs posibale rain would be really bad for me. It may be better for you guys too then. I will not hold you guys back then with me and my 31's :( You guys pick whats best for you Sat. of Sun. I stll want to go though. :bounce:

Me like to wheel! :burnout:

I plan to be heading up there after work on friday, so I'm guessing 9pm at the earliest. I hope its not an all night affair finding you.

Jefe, have you been up there before and know where Fawnskin is located?

If so, you should be able to find me easy. I made a sign ("Kennedy" with an arrow, white 8 1/2X11 with blue letters) so it shouldn't be too hard for a guy who can build a computer for his glove box. Just go down 3N14 from Fawnskin past the Holcomb Creek trail. When you start up the grade, start looking. If you don't see me before you get to 3N16, hang a left and keep looking. I will leave a lantern lit and camp near the main trails as to be visible. I'm guessing there will not be very many people camping out so you could investigate every camp you come across until you find us. These main trails are like two lane dirt highways, and well marked, so its hard to get lost.

I have not been up there before . . Fawnskin is easy; its on the computer ;)
But all the 3n16 and 3n14 and such are confusing, as there are a dozen trails all criss crossing all having the same name. I think I've got it though:
