In the Front I have gone to Thunderbird Calipers on the Dana 44. The factory Bronco Calipers have a 2 7/8" pistion vs. the T-bird calipers have a 3 3/32" pistion. it' dosn't seem like a alot but they provide alot more clapping force.

On the Rear, I used a 89 Bronco 8.8, which we all know came with drum's in it. I have figured out how to adapt the explorer disc brake system over to the bronco/150 axle.

Will it stop like it did from the factory? No, but I'm sure it will stop just fine. The only other upgrade I would do from here would be to go to cross drilled rotors. but I' really think I'll be fine for now.

Brake ware is all about your style of driving too.

And..........this is not your daily driver anymore, its officially become a TOY! Congratulations, it looks great Stic. I did notice in the pictures that you had a wood block keeping it from rolling down the driveway........does this mean its not drivable yet? Come on, lets go wheelin!!!!!!!! :p

Unfortunatly, it will have to be a DD for a little while longer. say another 6 mo. or so. Until I can pay some stuff off, including the truck  Then I'm going to find my a mid 90's F-250 tow rig/DD :D

No it's not drivable yet. I'm picking up the brake lines tommorow. other then that, I just have to put the shocks on and figure out if my d-shaft will work. my new T-case is coming next week, so I'll have to through that in too. ;)

Steve,

Congrats on the truck, it looks really good!

My SAS might be coming sooner than I thought, the steering on my truck is getting very sloppy now. I'm going to swap in the R&P I got from you & when that one goes, I'll start the swap...maybe next summer.

Keep up the good work!

Chris

Remember how small it use to be? :o

I was taking a picture of Colin's antennas (the one I later stole) and your truck got in the way.

so your saying if i just crank my t-bars a little i can clear those tires?

I had a 3" BL on it too.

Had a few hours only to work on the truck today. Got all the bake lines figured out and plan to install them tommorow. But here was what else I got done today.

Got the rear bumper back on and swithed the lug pattern over to 5 on 5.5 ;)

The Kleenex thing was my wifes idea  but it's actually really handy It's the "Tempo" thing, you can get them at 99 cent store :D

As for the wheel, I found out it's only a 7" wheel. So I have 35 on a 15x7 At least it's a spare.

That spare wheel looks great - what did it come out of?

Thats the new trend. Run your spare on a skinny rim so you dont have so much hanging off the back bumper. Im about to put an old 36x12.50 swamper on a 15x7.

whered you find the info to wire the overhead console? My 94 had one added, and i cant make heads or tails of it to put it in the 91.

Hmmm Maybe I should do a write up :D Actually I fond the info in a old "Bronco Driver " Magazine. It was for adding a explorer overhead console to a FSB. It has the wireing guide in it. ;)

78/79 Factory Bronco Wheel :D

Got the Rear brake lines all run. Just need to set the rear pinion angle and weld the perchs.

Up front, got the brakes 90% in. Just have to learn how to make a different kinda flare. Other then that, we need to move the passenger spring perch back about a inch or less. Not happy with how the spring is sitting.

Front_Brakes.jpg

Other then that, just waiting for the T-case to arive, so I can put that in. Then I still have to do shomething about a driveshaft. O' and I still have to put shocks on. Which brings me to flexing. I tried to flex it a little yesterday....That was a joke  I would max out the jack, and the truck didn't looked like it flexed at all. We're going to bust out the engine hoist, and see what we can do with it. :D
