Spring has ushered in with cold rain, hard rain, plain rain, violent storms with mucho gusto sideways rain, and we have only managed to work outside, 3 of the last 10 days. Being behind means go gangbusters when the skies clear up, and get as much done before you get shut down again. This is the life of the blue collar exterior tradesman. Wait all winter for warmer temps to work again, then get rained out. Woo Hoo!! Why am I saying all this?
Well, the work needed on this rig has piled up, and with my day job taking all the good weather days up, it's almost impossible to get anything done. The Moab trip is like 6 weeks away.

The truss and the engine mods won't get done. It's not going to be a fun trip there and back under powered again. This little stock 5.0 just cant deal with the 6000 lb weight.
So... I did go ahead and buy an SCT X4 from Unleashed Tuning, and Torrie sent me the first tune last night. I just installed it, but won't have time to test until the weekend. It is just an 87 octane tune, and I will most likely jump to a 91 tune. I did some thinking on this, and this rig is barely used, so an extra $10/tank for the 91 isn't a big deal. It will add about $200, for a 12 day trip to Moab and back. I can live with that, when I know those that are using 5 MPG RV's to go, my fuel bill is not that bad at all. lol
I will be putting the brand new OBX Headers up for sale as well. Not even going to mess with them, and just wait on Bob at TMH. Hit me up, if you know anyone.
Picked up a new HD AllTop air compressor. It's 7.06 cfm @200psi can inflate these 35's from 16psi to 35psi in 90 seconds. It's beastly.
Also... those new extended CV boots rubbing has got me concerned they will not make it far on the HWY before the heat shreds them open. That is such a bummer that they re like that, as it totally defeated the entire purpose of buying them. I am feeling I should remove them and put the stock ones back in for the trip.
I tried to post pictures of all this stuff, but the Forum is not having it today.
