Return from Truckhaven OCT 2009

Very nice photos Chris. You are now the official unofficial photographer for runs. Did you (or anyone for that matter) happen to get a video of my attempts on CJ hill. Having a discussion at home about how light the front end did or did not come to going ass over tea kettle. A video would help see who is more correct.

yep, i got a perfect video of you making it over:thumbsup:;)
from the same angle as the roll over.

Videos are taking longer to upload, but i will do that shortly

Great pics Chris. They really help to show what T-Haven is all about.

I really wished that I would've just called in sick now, but oh well...

all in all looks like a great weekend!

Great pics Chris.

I'm pretty sure Mark got some video from the other side of CJ Hill.
Thanks, Yea i think he did too.
The first picture i posted there is your last ride before Sparksaflyin' showed. One last run with the 91X

you were bouncing a bit, but nothing like Justin. However Tracy was getting very nervous and screamed out to you "thats enough Matt", but in your defence, I don't think you did or could have heard her.

#1 Rule don't piss the Wife off! Sure some guys may think your whipped and don't want to push it, but they don't have to live with her nagging in your ear about it for the rest of time. The guys will forget, she will not!:)

I had one attempt where the front did get a bit light. It also started sliding to the right a bit. I was grabbing for reverse quick on that one. On the steep stuff I can really see how an auto with a reverse shift manual valve body with a modified gate shifter is better. There is no way I could go first to reverse as fast as the right auto setup could. I would like to see the unsuccessful attempts as well if possible.

Here are the 4 short videos i took. I'm not sure how to embed them.

I also took a couple quick videos of 2 other trucks i recognize from another forum i'm on.

First Matt.... Get your (as Tracy put it) "Drag Racing Slicks" off that thing!:p:

I am hoping to order new rims this week. Need to check a few things on the finance side of things first.

Just got home a little while ago.. Only 8 hours to get back..

got 7.1mpg on the way back, @ 65mph with a headwind and crosswind.

Trip back was uneventful, unlike the trip out..

I'm uploading Justin's almost roll, roll, and the flipping back..

Matt, I do have video of your attemps and yes, you got the front light once.

Matt, the software doesn't allow us to embed videos unless they are from Google or YouTube. My suggestion if you want to show your videos is to create a YouTube account and upload them there. If you don't want to create your own YouTube account, I'm willing to upload them to my YouTube account and edit your post, so they will show up.

Ok thanks for the info. I guess if people are willing to click on the links, then it's good enough. In the future i'll put them on youtube.
