California End of Summer Run 2!

We should be fine, we have over one month for it to melt. It doesn't all have to melt... :p

I was up in Big Bear this weekend and it was friggin hot. Ran Holcomb Creek and as usual there was a big backup at the rock garden at midpoint. Some dude in a brand new Rubicon Limited was high centered and using his oil pan as a pivot point. I was the only rig who had a Hi-Lift jack. Jacked the front up, threw some rocks under the front tires and he was good to go. All the Jeepers freaked when they saw me go through without any problems. You put lockers on a station wagon, you can go almost anywhere you want.

At this point I will be in the "maybe" group. Still got stuff to fix and I doubt it will get done in time.

Sorry guys, I won't be making this one :thumbdwn: .

I would really like to go, especially since I didn't make the Rubicon. But it all depends on if I get my doubler in in time.

Ah common Bill! Just say you'll come either way ;)

As of today Swamp is still closed :( Everything but swamp and Dusy are open, so they are making progress.

I got my locker out yesterday and I'm sending it off to get replaced by warranty. If I don't get it back in time I won't be making it. I'm going to send it next day and tell the guy I'll pay for next day when he sends it back.

Unless we bring tracys jeep again I wont be able to make it. She is still working on fixing the things we bent on the rubicon  I am sitting in oakland for work right now and wont be back home to even touch the truck again for probably 2 weeks. It will also depend on if dusy opens up and we run it the next weekend or not.

Well, it sounds like I might have been the smartest one of that group by staying home, looking at the carnage list. I know I would have sustained major damage on that trip.  If Jefe with his mucho travel dented every body panel, just think what would have happened to my rig.

Wait till you see the dent on the passenger door. I was suprised when he said the window still worked.

I'm sure we could have gotten you through without body damage, it just would have taken us twice as long, since we'd need to spot you through every little obstacle. :p

I could have avoided everything but the damage from the one obstacle on Old sluice. That was my line I chose to take, and they spotted me through it as best they could. If I had followed Toms line like everyone else I think I would have just  :D
Most of the rest of the damage was from "I wonder where that rock is?" SCREEECH "oh, there it is" kind of moments. :o
